the World Christian in you!
What is a World Christian?
"A Christian who has discovered the truth and need of God's unfulfilled global
purpose to reach all peoples. They are those who realize that as Christians they
are responsible to act, pray, think, and believe according to their knowledge of this truth."
Why do we need more World Christians?
Because two-thirds of the worlds people are lead by Governments that appose
Christianity and who care little about their own people. These people reside in
North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, which lie between the latitudes of 10
and 40 degrees. This area is called the 10/40 window. The 10/40 window is home to
numerous problems, including "starvation, disease, economic disaster, religious
persecution, government and political breakdown, and insufficient living conditions."
Their governments have not only condemned them to a life of Hell on earth, but an
eternity of death in Hell. Their reception of the Gospel is their only hope.
We need more missionaries to reach these people."There is only one missionary
for every one-million people." Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the
workers are few" (Matt 9:37). His statement is as true today as it was in his time.
With all that in mind, there are passages in every book of the Bible that call
Christians to act globally for Christ. The following passages are just a few examples
of this truth:
GENESIS - Through you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. (12:3)
PSALMS - Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! (150:6)
MARK - This gospel must be proclaimed to all the nations. (13:10)
JOHN - There are other sheep which are not of this fold. I must go and
bring them. Then there will be one Shepherd and one fold. (10:16)
ACTS - You shall be my witnesses to the ends of the earth. (1:8)
ROMANS - We have received grace and apostleship to bring about
the obedience of faith for the sake of His name among all the nations. (1:5)
What will your roll be?
Goer:    A World Christian who physically goes on a mission. No, this does not mean forever.
A mission can be as short as 1 week and as long as numerous years. And yes, you can afford it! God is
with all who believe.
Mobilizer:     A World Christian who inspires others to take global action. Your goal and gift
would be to inspire, teach, recruit, and ignite others to global action.
Welcomer:     A World Christian who evangelizes here at home to international people. These
people, who are mostly students will return to their own countries after college. You will welcome these
people to our country and to Christianity. In turn, the hope is that they will become missionaries in
their own countries.
Sender:     A World Christian who sends missionaries to evangelize the gospel. You will play
an integral role, some of which might be logistics, communication, research, etc.
