"As a member of the U.S. Center for World Mission which is a mobilization organization,
my concentrated trust with this web site is to encourage, direct, and organize those who are
called to become active participants with Mission Team Opportunities all over the world.
I have been a career missionary in the Amazon of Brazil for 20 years. I began my missionary
career over thirty years ago. Back when we were taught how to write a one page prayer letter.
(they said that nobody would want to read more than one page!) Now, 30 years later, we publish
newsletters with multiple pages that are able to challenge the most uninspired into inspiration
with missions activity and opportunities that are taking place all over the world. When the
uninspired become inspired some of them will go the the web sites for their knowledge and
direction. That is why Mission Teams.com will be there to "put the wheels in motion."
Working on the U.S. Center for World Mission in Pasadena, CA for the past three years
has broadened my vision even farther as a career missionary. Being the voice at William
Carey Library for the last two years, I have heard the "waking world" of potential
missionary candidates desire to know more about how they can become directly involved with
missions. As I would talk to them, I could hear the "heart cry of the Father" saying to the
church - "SEND THEM FORTH as I sent my own Son to you." The final goal of reaching a harvest
field can take many months and sometimes years. I would like to assist them by a click of the
mouse to a field and organization where they can become involved.
Now stationed in Raleigh NC at the U.S. Center for World Mission Southeast office I will
be working with alumni of the Perspective on the World Christian Movement classes. This site
is dedicated to the alumni who are reaching out in action to the harvest fields in their Jerusalem,
Judea and the to Uttermost parts of the earth."
